Selection Criteria

At Gumball Gallery, we are committed to working with artists whose work we can meaningfully support. While we review each submission carefully, only a small percentage of applicants are accepted. Here are the key factors we consider:

  • Location: You and your artwork must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Artwork Type: We welcome original and limited edition wall art in any style, material, or medium. Our goal is to offer buyers a diverse collection of Bay Area art.
  • Merit: We evaluate artists based on several factors, including exhibition history, conceptual and technical merit, and reputation. We aim to represent work that stands out for its creativity, execution, and appeal to our audience.

We often have to say no to talented artists because we may not have the right audience base for their work at this time, but we ensure every application is thoughtfully considered.
