"Erosion 5" contemplates the delicate tension between land and sea, stability and surrender. Here, a lone tree clings to a cliff's edge, framed by luminous yellow waters that meld into a calm, expansive sky. Stripes cascade from the horizon like a waterfall, suggesting the passage of time and nature’s resilience in the face of constant change. Karen Olsen-Dunn’s layered approach invites the viewer to question whether the landscape is eroding or evolving, merging the organic with digital influences. Chosen as the cover image for San Francisco’s 2023 Open Studios, this piece stands as a testament to Olsen-Dunn's unique vision.
