In "Layered Views," Olsen-Dunn shifts to a more subdued palette, allowing a softer balance of pink, green, and mauve tones to redefine the coastal landscape. The glitch-like separations draw focus to the green foliage that appears to be subtly pulled toward the center, as if succumbing to an unseen force. This work distills her thematic exploration of nature's balance, capturing the landscape as it seems to waver between stability and dissolution. The muted colors and layered composition create a moment of quiet tension, reflecting Olsen-Dunn’s ongoing dialogue between permanence and impermanence in her coastal-inspired series.
